BTChick recommendations:

Aqua (Liquid) – is actually a Liquid-based wallet. In addition to Liquid, it can handle Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. The reason why Liquid is beneficial is partly because it has been designed to be user-friendly, but also because it allows for the management of assets and stablecoins over Liquid— which is the most developed and secure sidechain to Bitcoin. It’s simply a great choice.

Breez (Lightning, good for smaller amounts) – is a so-called “off-chain” Bitcoin wallet with support for Lightning microtransactions, and it’s perfect for those who want to get started quickly without needing technical expertise. Simply install it, choose “Receive via BTC Address”.

Green (Bitcoin) – Choosing a Bitcoin wallet is perhaps a personal matter. I’ve chosen Green because I appreciate its simplicity and because it also supports hardware wallets.

zbd.gg ((Lightning, receive donations) – By getting a free zbd.gg “gamer tag,” you also receive an “always active online wallet” with Lightning adress. This allows you to receive Bitcoin microtransactions without needing to create dynamic vouchers first, which is otherwise necessary. I use this on this website. Simply scan the QR code and send Bitcoin to me. I recommend this wallet specifically for those who, like me, want a simple way to receive donations using a single QR code.

JADE, Ledger Nano, Trezor (Hardware wallet) – If you choose to invest in Bitcoin, you’ll likely come across the concept of “Not your Keys, Not your Coins” and will want to securely control your Bitcoins yourself. In that case, a hardware wallet is what you need. Both JADE and Ledger support Green, as mentioned above..

Revolut (Simple, SEK, Euros, Card) – Okay, this is a bit controversial from a Bitcoin perspective. Revolut is a centralized service that doesn’t really have much to do with Bitcoin, other than allowing you to easily invest in Bitcoin via its app. Why do I mention Revolut? Because it’s an easy way to invest in Bitcoin. Revolut is also a good service if you travel frequently in Europe, as you can have both SEK and Euro accounts in the app. You also get access to a free VISA/Mastercard.
